1. 不是只有扩张才是发展。收缩战略非但不是倒退，它在大部分时候都是比扩张战略更健康的发展。

What do you like and hate about China?

在Quora.com上问了一个关于中国的问题。

If you know China in some way, either you have been there or not, what do you like or hate about China? Can be about the people or the country.

When I was still in high school we had an American teacher who was very nice. She told us that she loved China in every way except when the people spit in public and when people called her 'Laowai'.

Another time was when I was chatting with an American military personnel in one of the South Korea military bases that while he didn't have much to either like or hate about China, he believed people in China was living in the past, everything they talked about was from the long long past like it's still true or something.

Some of my other American friends I met on the Internet either didn't know much about China or hated it for taking everything (from US and the world) but giving nothing back.

把招行精致版白金卡销卡了

一个月前申请了招行的精致版白金卡，卡片确实漂亮，看过很多银行的信用卡，目前还没有见过比招行卡片漂亮的。但是，比较让人郁闷的是他们只给了我6万额度。我就电话申请提高固定额度，系统测评可以申请20万，我心想以前测评的额度申请都通过了，这次应该也可以进20万俱乐部，贪念顿起，就申了20万，结果过了一周被告知提额失败。

总结教训，申请信用卡提额一定要循序渐进，不能贪心，一年刷20多万，普卡到顶5万，刚拿到白金，申个10万总是没问题的，可惜就是当时贪心不足，后悔不迭啊。。你们说这招行也是，既然通不过，测评个20万搞毛，让我白欢喜一场，浪费期待。。。。后来再想，不知道是不是招行故意如此，不想给我提额，设此陷阱，利用人的贪心，让我往20万里跳？？

作为招行信用卡6年多的忠实用户（我没有其他行的信用卡），不得不让人寒心。。。。他们的年费、积分政策本来就不实惠，于是果断销掉这张白金卡，只留普卡享受各种商家打折了。

Windows 7 全文搜索.PHP文件，如何让Win 7搜索目录下所有.PHP文件的内容

默认情况下Windows 7 只对部分扩展名文件的内容进行索引，在对某个目录下所有文件的内容进行搜索时，.PHP文件是不会被搜索的。可以通过如下方法把.PHP或其他你需要搜索的文件添加到Windows 7的索引选项里：

控制面板（选大图标或小图标显示方式）=>索引选项=>高级=>文件类型=>在列表中找到并选中（不是点选择框，而是选中那个选项为高亮）你需要全文搜索的扩展名，如.php=>在“应该如何索引此文件?”的选项中选择“为属性和文件内容添加索引”=>确定

点确定以后，Windows 7就会开始对系统里的所有.PHP文件进行索引。索引完以后，你就可以对某个目录中的所有.PHP文件进行全文搜索了。

招商银行香港一卡通收PayPal美元的电汇费用问题和账户关联及转账问题的回答

我目前的问题是PayPal电汇美元回大陆银行手续费较高，每一笔总共有$50刀左右的费用。
为了省钱，想开个香港银行账户，因为PayPal电汇到香港的手续费是零。我目前在西安，只有西安的招行账户。
现在有些小问题，麻烦亲爱的朋友帮忙解答一下：
1. 在上海办的两地一卡通，是不是就相当于是上海的招行账户？
2. 如果是上海的招行账户，能不能和西安的招行账户关联？
3. 如果不能关联，是不是在西安使用这张上海招行的两地一卡通，就相当于异地账户？转账\汇款\取现有较高的手续费？
4. 从香港招行转美元回上海招行（无法直接转回我在西安的招行账户吧？），费用是多少？是直接转美元划算，还是转成什么币（港币、人民币）再转划算呢？
5. 通过网上银行就可以完全操作这张卡的转账、打款吗？

HI，已帮你咨询过以上问题，基本上可以解决：
首先，现在两地一卡通已经停办了，只能办理香港一卡通（境内人士办理卡内只有美元和港币两币种，符合你的要求），办理前提是要求申请人目前已持有招商银行金卡或以上级别的卡片（或卡内日均资产超过5万元）。西安目前不能办，成都2家支行可办（分行营业部支行，高新支行），上海5家支行可办理（分行营业部，外滩支行，淮中支行，长宁支行，张江支行）。
PS.如果你目前西安的卡不是金卡且年日均资产不满5万，来上海办香港一卡通的话可以先在我这里办一张金卡，无资产要求，绑定一张招行信用卡关联自动还款就不收年费了。
（1）无论是之前的两地一卡通还是现在的香港一卡通，其实都是香港分行的账户，所以才不受国内外汇政策限制啊；
（2）香港一卡通可以通过UKEY与境内的一卡通关联，多个账户可以用同一个ukey；
（3）不用回答
（4）从香港一卡通可以转美元回境内的西安账户，有两种方法供参考：一是直接转美元回境内账户，每笔收取11美元费用，每天转账金额不超过港币200万元；二是在香港一卡通内将美元结汇成人民币后，转账进内地账户，不收取费用（但是受外汇管制，每年结汇金额不超过等额5万美元）。我个人建议用第一种，你可以积少成多后一笔划回来。而且目前人民币贬值预期强烈，建议持有美元。
（5）通过网银可以完全操作香港一卡通的查询，转账等除取现外的一切业务。

其他小费用：香港一卡通开卡后2个月内要同名划转一笔钱过去激活账户，无论金额多少都行，但是要收取15港币or2美元的手续费。估计香港一卡通每年要收点年费，50港币左右吧。

Godaddy注册的网站无法从国内解析/访问

在Godaddy注了几个.com域名，以前好好的，但从一个月前，就无法从国内访问。上VPN从国外访问是没有任何问题的，但从国内访问，无论用什么浏览器，都是显示域名无法解析。

以前都是做的英文站，如果国内无法访问也无所谓，但这回可是两个中文站。

经常测试和判断，初步认定是国内封了Godaddy的所有名字服务器Name Servers。解决方法就是换名字服务器。

换了名字服务器以后，问题解决。

这段回复问题很多，第一句Thank you for reaching out to us.完全可以更简单，比如Thank you for reaching us.同样的意思，一定是选择更简单的表达方式，亲切有力。这算是一个原则。

第二句要表达对客户的理解，其实完全没有必要。类似的各种国内通行的客套话在面对老外时都可以省去。如果非要说，可以这样说：We totally understand your concerns / problem / situation / worries that / , but / , however ....

as follow不对，要么是as follows要么是as following

sorry to tell you that...chinglish, 这种话也不要说，让人感觉有什么坏事发生了一样。。all by yourself这种话也有点不近人情，显得是我们把这个责任推给了客户，应该说得委婉一点，暗示是客户自己应该做的事情，比如you would be responsible for any fees incurred by returning the item.

And after we ....这个And根本没必要，and but besides moreover what's more in addition....最自然的英语应该是尽量少用各种联接词的。想表达什么就直接表达就可以了。不要烦恼于语言本身的所谓“自然”。

Cyberlink PowerDirector 10 Review

I have never written a review of any kind before but I have been a long-time fan of Cyberlink since I first started using their editing software many moons ago. The most recent addition to the family is the PowerDirector 10 and is the product I am focusing on in this review. As an experienced editor I had been frustrated for a while with the limited software options that were available to me that could do what I needed them to do.

Many times I have started a project using software from different tech companies and have been repeatedly let-down by their failure to deliver what they promise on the box. A lot of the problem is that editing software companies seem to battle with each other in order to offer the most amounts of different functions to their customers but many of them simply do not make the software able to deliver the effects that they promise.

I have always found Cyberlink to be different as they seem to understand better than other software companies that what customers are really after is performance and reliability. There have been many times before that I have been in the middle of a complicated editing process only for the software to be so slow it struggles to keep up. Cyberlink however seem to have been able to design software that does not suffer from this problem.

Upon first using this version of their editing software I was taken by how much of a pleasure it is too use. Normally I would find that the software I was using would often crash when switching between the different processes. This was very annoying and meant that many times I would lose work that I had previously been working on and had to start all over again. Since using this software I have noticed a significant improvement compared to the editing software I used to use. Also the previous software that I used to use was almost double the price that I paid for this product by Cyberlink. If you have not used any type of editing software before then I would also recommend this product based on how simple it is to use.

I know it seems crazy, but I like to prepay bills to be sure they're paid because, frankly, who knows what's going to be going on with my debit card.

I'm sure most of your customers are companies where this is never a problem, and Rackspace has ALWAYS been cool about waiting two days, but being able to carry a small credit balance would be sweet.

每个小孩都是天才

可惜大部分父母都心胸狭窄（似乎和受教育程度无关），虽然物质上愿意无私奉献，但精神和心理上总是不由自主的倾向于否定和控制自己的小孩，以一己喜恶，规束小孩的行为，他们内心的天才终于被压抑了。。。。

现在回想小时的一些事情，发现家长（包括各种长辈）并不比我们成熟多少，他们也是人，他们也会嫉妒我们的进步和闪光点，不能容忍太耀眼的地方，批评我们的棱角，害怕失去威信，害怕道理讲不过我们，他们也会时不时在我们面前炫耀他们的能力，以此获得高高在上的权威感。。。。。成年人就算了，对小孩子这样，十几年如一日，必须成就一个庸才。。不比他们高明多少的庸才。

 

只希望懂这个道理的父母越来越多。

A suggestion for you guys.

I contacted your support regarding the 4 IPs I'm endowed with after I have opened an account with you. They are all in the same C-Class which makes them useless with respect to SEO.

And SEO hosting is in. Search Google for "SEO hosting" and you would find plenty of providers providing VPS hosting with 10 - 100 different C-class IPs at the cost of no less than $5/m for each IP.
You should definitely do this, simply change your IPs to different C-Class IPs.

Instead of offering:

1.1.1.1
1.1.1.2
1.1.1.3
1.1.1.4

You should give us:

1.1.2.1
1.1.3.1
1.1.4.1
1.1.5.1

Not sure if I'm right on this but the point is all the IPs you give us should be in different C-Class. This is a very great selling point. Yet the support got back to me saying it's not easy technically. I don't think it's any difficult to do this. Or is it?

I would very much like to see such a thing implemented on WiredTree and I would choose to host all my future websites with you. The only reason I have my $250 monthly hosting bills spread across 6 different hosts, is the IPs.

Think about it please.

A negative Rackspace review translated to English from Chinese

My experience with Rackspace has been absolutely terrible! I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

First of all, they promise you your own personal account manager but when I signed up it turned out the guy was only part-time. It seemed like he was only available for a couple of hours a week. They also claim to have "fanatical support" -- I was not at all impressed. They may have support staff available 24/7, but their eagerness seems to fade if your problem takes more than five minutes to solve or requires anything more than rebooting the server. They can talk like real professionals but actions speak louder than words.

Second, I'm not real happy with their overzealous sales tactics either. I don't doubt they have the best sales staff in the business, but once they get your signature they've got you locked into a contract that even Houdini couldn't get out of! You'll suffer for the next year or so watching your money be sucked into the black hole of cyberspace.

Third, if you get frustrated enough to try complaining to somebody with any authority, good luck there too. Everyone you talk to passes you on to somebody else, and nobody gives you an answer. If you try to use a support ticket you won't get a response, nor will you be able to track your progress, or the lack thereof, because they don't back anything up.

Be warned: if you're going to use Rackspace be prepared for high blood pressure and lots of migraines!

技术入股如何操作？

问：

现有一个公司，邀请我技术入股。我是做营销的。有没有这么一种机制，即如果我在一年内使公司的营业额提高50%，就给我10%的公司股份。如果我没有做到，就只给我1%？

答：

还有这种好事？不知道这个公司老板是怎么考虑到？
从实现路径上看，可以实现：
1、签订合作协议，将上述内容约束在协议内，注意约定好如何认定营业额提高50%，是签约金额还是收到帐金额，避免自己被圈进去；
2、同时签订股权转让协议，两份，约定老板将股权以一元价格转让给你。一份是10%的，另一份是1%的，在协议中说明根据那种情况，实行股权转让。注意签字时候不注明日期，待实现营业额后，再填写日期。
3、如果还能做到将工商变更手续资料准备齐全，那就更好！注意也不要填写日期。这样可以避免老板届时赖账，你可以直接拿着这些东西自己去工商变更即可！
